Why 3:8 Juice & Eatery Should Be “Your Spot”

I know what you’re thinking, “Is this just another juice place?” Atlanta suburbs actually need many more “juice” places so that these healthy eats can be accessible- this is exactly why I was ecstatic when I drove past 3:8 Juice & Eatery in Milton, GA. After sampling their delicious 3:8 Green juice, I knew I had to find out more about this spot! The freshness of the juice was shocking as it hit my lips and the zing of the flavors drew me in for more- I was addicted.
Little Blue Book had the pleasure of interviewing owner Leslie Graham (pictured above). From the moment I asked her my first question, I knew exactly what set this juice place apart from the rest- the amount of knowledge, passion and education Leslie had was astonishing about a whole food plant based diet. She had experienced this lifestyle change first hand when she lost 90 pounds (you know I had an instant connection- remember my post?)! This is initially what helped her open up 3:8 Juice and Eatery on January 22, 2017 (if you don’t live in the metro Atlanta area, contact her here to encourage franchise locations).

Where did the name come from?
The Bible! The book of proverbs (3:8)- “This will bring health to your body and nourishment to your bones” is the perfect name as “resetting” with juices and whole food plant based diets are a healthy way of life with many health benefits and providing more energy to your daily life- not just for weight loss, but for a way of life to be healthy.

What do you have to offer?

Juices are just part of what this eatery offers. I was surprised to see how many food options this place had for people with gluten-free, vegan, vegetarian or whole food and plant based diets. From overnight oats, acai bowls, salads, wraps and sandwiches to juices and smoothies- this place is a one stop shop for multiple meals. They are freshly packaged daily so that it doesn’t go bad- this is exactly how you know it’s a healthy place- no preservatives added to extend the expiration date!
3:8 juice and eatery also offers juice resets. This helps cleanse your body and basically reset by removing all the toxins in your body. I know I always need a “juice” day after a trip or poorly-eating weekend and it’s so much easier to have the people who know what they’re doing offer it to you! She even gave me a juice containing collard greens and zucchini to take home which I was highly skeptical of, but tasted even more delicious than ones I sampled there! I am truly mesmerized by the deliciousness of these fresh juices and the ingredients used!
My mom and I had the pleasure of sampling multiple juices with Leslie and their infamous acai power bowl. It is difficult to find places that make acai bowls, but to make them as delicious as this one is rare- they blend the peanut butter into the acai smoothie which makes each bite super tasty. The honey on top is literally a treat for the mouth- I’ve never had such delicious honey in my life. Stay tuned for more vegan options including a Buddha Bowl!

The thing that is apparent in their juices are the amount of fresh ingredients used and nothing from concentrate! The fat flushing juices are really good, but mine, my Mom and Leslie’s favorite is the 3:8 green! One of the best things about this places though, is they give you the option of making your own juice- take out or add as many ingredients as you like! And there is a REWARDS program- get $1 off for every $20 you spend!

What else can I get besides food and juices?
This is the reason how I knew this place knows what they’re doing. Leslie is extremely educated and has invested countless hours in learning about the effects of food on the body by collaborating with multiple physicians; Dr. Michael Greger and Dr. Max Gerson, founder of the Gerson Institute, are just a couple! She has a plethora of books in her shop that you can grab and read to overwhelm your brain about how you can get your body to literally eat away your fat!
Leslie also has a collection of her favorite documentaries! She also throws fun viewing parties to explain and talk about documentaries. Her knowledge on these documentaries is astonishing- from Fat, Sick and Nearly Dead to What the Health, it is no wonder that she has personal connections to the top of the top in the field. There is a new documentary coming out in the fall, Eating You Alive, and you can get your hands on it now by going to 3:8 Juice and Eatery!
She even gave me a prescription for healthy living! How fitting for a pharmacist like me!
Leslie’s passion and devotion to educating her customers is truly contagious. In our hour long conversation, she taught me so much a few being the power of protein in white cannoli beans, the cheese trap, using vegetable broth or water for an oil substitute, spirulina health benefits and an energizing ingredient from an ancient root in Brazil is great to add to juices- maca! Of course they offer it at 3:8 juice and eatery!
Leslie sent me home with her favorite chickpea cranberry salad and delicious overnight oats. Not only am I loving the taste of all of these, but they kept me full and the best part- the nutrition! These oats are only 90 calories followed by only 310 calories in the salad!

So, can I cheat?
As delicious as the food and juices are at 3:8 juice and eatery, it is difficult to make a whole lifestyle change without a little cheating. Leslie actually encourages cheating to help prevent binges and fall backs. Her favorite cheat food is a spicy pepperoni pizza and caprese salad from Campania!

I agree with her, but I will most definitely be found at my new spot, 3:8 juice and eatery, drinking those delicious juices and eating those incredible acai bowls frequently! Will you join me in making 3:8 juice and eatery your new spot?
