A Trip to Georgia’s Wine Country (Dahlonega)

For my 33rd birthday a few weeks ago, my friends and I went wine tasting to Dahlonega! There are lots of wineries, but we could only make it to 3. Below are the 3 we made it to and ones I wish we could have gone to!

1. Three Sisters Vineyard
My friend actually told me this vineyard is known for their port wine! It was definitely delish! I so badly wanted to go here because they offer a chocolate tasting which was delicious! I first did a chocolate/wine pairing at a winery in South Africa in Stellenbosch and was surprised as to how much I loved it more than a cheese/wine pairing! The view was great as well- the beauty was it was so isolated so it felt like you could see endless fields!

2. Cavendar Creek Vineyards
This is a great small town winery feel. It’s got live music and the rustic/antique furniture makes you feel like you’re in the South! The winery is gorgeous with never ending fields!

3. Wolf Mountain Vineyards
I had been here before, but I had to go again because the views are absolutely breathtaking. The tasting room is very spacious and they have the most delicious sparkling rose champagne. The food is not bad either- especially the pizza!

Other wineries I wish we made it to, but didn’t:
1. Frogtown Cellars
2. Accent Cellars
3. Yonah Mountain Vineyards
4. Etowah Meadery
5. Montaluce Winery
6. Kaya Vineyard

A day trip to Dahlonega wineries is a must if you’re in Georgia! It’ll take you back to Tuscany. Napa and South Africa!
