A Weekend of Relaxation in Scottsdale, AZ

About a month and half ago, I took a girls trip with my Mom and sister to Scottsdale, Arizona. (Read about my experience two years ago here!) I still have to write about the trip I took last year with my girls for our 30th birthdays to Scottsdale! However, for this post, I’ll be talking about what I did with my Mom and sister!

Thursday

One of my favorite things to do is roam the streets filled with art galleries and cute little shops in Old Towne Scottsdale. We started the day right off the plane doing just that.

My Mom and I ate a delicious acai bowl at Kaleidoscope Juice and stopped at The Great Australian Bakery for a cappuccino (of course)! We were too stuffed- otherwise we would have headed to the Original Chop Shop for a grain bowl!

We roamed over to Fashion Square after the Fifth Avenue Shops and had one of the most amazing ice cream’s I’ve ever had at Creamistry. I was skeptical at first, but who knew nitrogen ice cream could be so good?! Afterwards, we strolled into the mall and shopped.

For dinner we went to Olive and Ivy which was poppin’ even on a Thursday evening. I had been here before and it was too amazing to not try again!
I know what you’re thinking… did you just eat all day? The answer is yes kind of, but we walked EVERYWHERE so we burnt off quite a bit too!

Friday

Friday was a very relaxing day. We had planned a full spa day (included with lunch) at the Omni Scottsdale Resort and Spa (Joya Spa). I had done this the year before with my friends and it was too much fun to not do again! The deep tissue massage here is definitely the best massage Ive ever had!

I had been invited by the Phoenecian to attend their grand opening of the Thirsty Camel and enjoy dinner with my Mom and sister at Mowry and Cotton. Read all about the experience here!

Saturday

Saturday started off with relaxing by the pool and at the Hyatt and some fun bonding time.

We then headed back to the Phoenecian to explore the cactus garden before tea time! Read all about the experience here!

Our trip ended with dinner at Barrio Queen. Some of the best Mexican! We had originally planned on going to Su Vino Winery for wine tasting, but my sister is pregnant (yes, super ecstatic to be a Masi (Mom’s sister) to a baby girl March 30th) so we thought we’d save it for next time!

Also for next time on the list is doing to Sedona and the Grand Canyon! If you’re looking for outdoors activities, then you should definitely go golfing and hiking on Camelback or Pinnacle Peak!
