A Weekend of Relaxation in Scottsdale, AZ

About a month and half ago, I took a girls trip with my Mom and sister to Scottsdale, Arizona. (Read about my experience two years ago here!) I still have to write about the trip I took last year with my girls for our 30th birthdays to Scottsdale! However, for this post, I’ll be talking about what I did with my Mom and sister! Thursday One of my favorite things to do is roam the streets filled with art galleries and cute little shops in Old Towne Scottsdale. We started the day right off the plane doing just that. My Mom and I ate a delicious acai bowl at Kaleidoscope…

Getting Back Into Yoga After A Break

As wonderful as yoga is, there are times when a break is necessary. Sometimes the break is forced upon you; by circumstance, or health conditions that mean you don’t have the energy required. Or perhaps life just gets a little too busy, and you can’t quite spare those precious moments you’d usually spend on yoga, so you fall out of the habit. Give Yourself A Break About Taking A Break There’s nothing inherently wrong with taking a break from yoga for whatever reason you see fit. Sure, it’s probably preferable that you maintain your routine through thick and thin, but there’s also a need for realism. Sometimes, it’s just not…

The Hottest Restaurant in Scottsdale, AZ.

Mowry & Cotton is the newest restaurant addition at The Phoenician in Scottsdale, Arizona. I posted last week about the resort’s amazing Afternoon Tea offering. Along with that experience, Denise Seomin, the Director of Public Relations and Marketing Communications, collaborated with Little Blue Book to sample some of the best American food I’ve ever had. With a name like Mowry & Cotton, you have to check out the story behind it! I Its contemporary style and relaxing feel fit right in with the new luxury of The Phoenician, which just completed an extensive transformation of its public areas. I can’t even begin to explain how delicious the food was (see below for individual…

Unique Gift Ideas for the Man Who Has Everything

A man of sophistication and culture may seem to have it all but here are a couple of gift ideas for the man who seems to have everything. Halloween has passed which means it is almost the most wonderful time of the year unless it is nearly impossible to buy for someone on your gift list. Finding a unique and thought-felt present is the goal for most gift givers. However, the ability to continually provide something the receiver will adore and cherish year after year can be stressful and time-consuming. No one wants to be the gifter known for giving things which get lost in the back of a closet,…

The Best Afternoon Tea in all the Land (Scottsdale, Arizona).

Afternoon Tea at The Phoenician in Scottsdale, Arizona has been consistently voted as “the best high tea” by the Phoenix New Times and it is definitely an understatement. I was recently invited by Denise Seomin, the director of public relations and marketing communications, to experience afternoon tea in its newly redesigned venue off the main lobby of the AAA Five Diamond resort. Its grand reopening took place on October 12th, and my trip was the end of October – just in time to see the modern yet traditional English feel. The lobby is now much more open than it used to be (checkout my Scottsdale trip a couple of years…

    Journey Through Capetown, South Africa

I had heard Capetown, South Africa was gorgeous, but I was in for a surprise when I saw exactly how beautiful. A few months ago, my hubby and I went on our annual two week international trip to Capetown (he has cousins there so it was nice to stay with them, 4 days), Spain (Madrid (1 day), Seville (2 days), Barcelona (3 days)) and Milan (2 days).  First off, the flight to Capetown is a whopping 27 hour flight that we had broken down with a stop in Doha, Qatar with a 9 hour layover which was perfect because we got to do a free city tour provided by Qatar…
