New York, I Love You, XOXO II
Remember my NYC post from last year? As I had mentioned back then, I’ve wanted to live in Manhattan in the UES (although after this trip, Greenwich Village is on the top of my list followed by SOHO) for years. Since we won’t be moving there, my hubby promised me a trip once a year! This year just worked out perfectly- our cousin was getting married in Nanuet and then we decided to extend our trip in the city since it was also our 2 year wedding anniversary. We did quite a bit in 2 whole days and walked around of course about 10 miles a day (another reason why I LOVE NYC). Here is a short overview of places we went and what we did (yes, more Gossip Girl locations)!
Where we stayed: Lotte Palace Hotel
Where we brunched: Serendipity (famous for it’s desserts, frozen hot chocolate and exterior scene shown in many TV shows and movies):
Right around the corner of Serendipity is Dylan’s Candy (owned by Ralph Lauren’s daughter)- floors and floors of candy- better than Willy Wonka!
Strolling through Central Park to my favorite side by Belvedere Castle– the views are breathtaking (first picture in post)!
The famous Met steps and Met rooftop with Cornelia Parker’s PsychoBarn exhibit:
Stopped by the amazing UES homes (I’ll save Anna Wintour’s in GWV for next time)!:
Carlo’s Bakery (Cake Boss’s) Time Square location:
And finally dinner with friends at Fig and Olive (amazing food and apps)!
Yummy Garlic Pizza in East Midtown:
The breathtaking Uniformity exhibit at the Museum of FIT:
Sampled some macaron’s while drinking cappuccino’s at the newest Laduree location in SOHO with a garden seating area (amazing):
Being touristy at One World Trade Center, the memorial and views of Lady Liberty:
Dinner at Golden Unicorn in Chinatown (amazing dumplings) and a late night snack at Veselka (best pierogies)!
Stopping by the most exclusive- ‘The Box‘:
And finally ending the night with views from Mr. Purple on top of Hotel Indigo:
Well, there you have it- NYC in a nutshell in out short 2 days. Until next time Manhattan for an adventurous and never boring weekend! XOXO New York, I Love You!

I love visiting Manhattan and NYC remains such a walkable city. I wish more cities embraced that concept. Every time I go to NYC I discover something new.
