Workout Wednesday: Beachbody

photo-3-40Beachbody is a compilation of at home workout DVDs and fitness programs. Beachbody is the maker of Insanity, Insanity Max 30, Insanity Asylum, 21 Day Fix, T25, P90X, Turbo Fire, Les Mills and a lot more, but these are he ones that I have tried. I am of course a Shaun T girl since Insanity is the program that initially allowed me to lose weight (Read my Weight Loss Post Here). I absolutely love any fitness program that Shaun T has created. A couple years ago, I even became a certified Beachbody coach to help other people out. What’s great is that you can buy these DVD programs and then you keep them for the rest of your life so when I am out of workout options, I rotate between all of those programs that I have gotten over the years. So if you’re a home workout sucker like me, then these DVD programs are definitely one of the best options for you!

I will probably talk about each program separately over time in its’ own blog post, but this post is going to focus on my favorite one that I have tried: Insanity Max 30. (By the way you can join for a 30 day free trial to view various Beachbody workouts online anywhere at anytime).

First and foremost, Confidence Gear:

The Theory:
You are supposed to go as hard as you can for as many reps as you can for 30 minutes and every week when you repeat the workout, you’re supposed to beat your time for when you stopped the week before. It takes high intensity interval training (HIIT) to a different level.

Why I Love It:
1. No equipment needed.
2. Only 30 minutes and you’re working every minute of it.
3. It alternates everyday between cardio & strength.
4. It progresses in difficulty & you can pick & choose DVDs based on your level.
5. It also includes a separate Ab workout and a recovery workout.
