Mouth-water Monday: MOREo Ice Cream Cake
I’ve been making this oreo ice cream cake since I was in college and every single time it is a huge hit. The best part is that it takes only 10-15 minutes to make it but it seems like it’s a lot more work. The even better part is that it tastes absolutely amazing. Whether you’re making it for adults, kids or both- every person in any age group is bound to LOVE it! Here’s my secret recipe:
Servings: 12, Calories: ~250/serving
Ingredients:
1 tub 8 ounce cool whip topping thawed
1 pkg Fudge flavored Jello instant pudding
10 Oreo cookies chopped (about 1 cup)
12 vanilla ice cream sandwiches
Directions:
Whisk 1 cup cool whip and instant Jello pudding pack with a tad bit of water and mix in chopped oreo cookies. Arrange 6 ice cream sandwiches side by side on aluminum foil and top with the cool whip mixture. Place the rest of the 6 ice cream sandwiches on top. Frost top and sides with remaining plain cool whip. Bring up foil and double fold top and loosely seal. Freeze for at least 4 hours or until firm.
The Best Part: Customize. You can add sprinkles, chocolate chips, more oreo cookies or anything else as a topping. You can also interchange the ice cream sandwich cakes- vanilla, chocolate chip, etc. And the same goes for the Jello pudding flavors!
