Mouth-water Monday: The Super Bowl Part II

Untitled

Now this is a completely different type of “Super Bowl” than the first Super Bowl I posted last week. This dip is amazingly delicious (although it’s not super healthy, it’s a good one to splurge on during football)! Since I live in the South and went to an extremely huge football university, football has become a huge deal and getting together to watch is usually a big soiree. So the next time you go to one, awe everybody with this cute, simple and yummy appetizer plate!

Peanut Butter Football Dip (The Perfect Mix of Sweet & Salty)

Ingredients:
1/4 cup butter (sweet preferred)
4 ounces cream cheese
1 cup peanut butter (creamy or nutty)
1/2 tsp vanilla extract
1 1/2 cups powdered sugar
1/2 cup mini chocolate chips
Chocolate sprinkles, chocolate chips, melted chocolate or Nutella for the outside of the football
White chocolate, frosting or whip cream for the football laces

Directions:
1. Mix butter, cream cheese and peanut butter with a handheld or KitchenAid mixer and then mix in the vanilla extract.
2. Add powdered sugar a little bit at a time and mix. Add in chocolate chips.
3. Use your hands to form a football or refrigerate for a few hours if too soft and then form a football. Top off with your brown topping and finish off with the white laces!
