New York, I Love You, XOXO I
New York City. I’ve been wanting to live in the city on 5th Avenue or the Upper East Side anywhere between 75th-95th avenue for as long as I can remember. My obsession with NYC skyrocketed after CW’s Gossip Girl. Back in July, I went on a girls trip to NYC and fell in love with it all over again. I was so depressed after I got back that my husband promised me we would take an annual trip to NYC- lucky me, my birthday was coming up so we went again in August. I had gone a few years back with a friend right before Gossip Girl was going to end and we went on the Gossip Girl tour at that time. The one thing I absolutely LOVE about NYC is that it is the ultimate walking city. I love that you can walk anywhere and everywhere if you give yourself enough time- we walked about 10 miles a day!
Here are a few of the things we did and places we went that makes me adore NYC:
Roaming along busy 5th avenue where many of the “first” stores originated:
The amazing macaroons of Ladurée in the Upper East Side of course:
Walking past China Town to the beautiful Brooklyn Bridge:
Visiting the Friends Building:
Carrie’s Apt in Greenwich Village (along with Magnolia Bakery & Spotted Pig):
The view from the top of the Standard at Le Bain:
The sophisticated Russian Tea Room:
Gorgeous Grand Central Station:
King Cole at the fabulous St. Regis:
The delicious and sophisticated Butter restaurant:
My favorite cupcakes from Crumbs Bakery:
Columbus Circle and Hell’s Kitchen:
The intricate details of the Plaza, Palace and Empire Hotels:
The delicious food and unique champagne blends of Gramercy Tavern & Flute:
And of course, the original Tiffany & Co.
Gossip Girl locations aside, there are plenty of other reasons why I love NYC. With so much art, history, culture and fashion- how could you not love it? XOXO!
